Hachimittsu to Kuroobaa (Drama)
This is so clashed up. I promised a FMA and Aquarion rev but ended up with a drama rev.
ANYWAY.
This is the TV adaptation of the famous Manga/Anime, Honey and Clover. (that was the Japanese name above)
spoiler:
19 year old Takemoto Yuta (Toma Ikuta), 22 year old Takumi
Mayama (Osamu Mukai), 26 year old Morita Shinobu (Hinoki Nariyama) and 21
years old Ayumi Yamada (Natsuki Harada) are friends in university. One
fine spring Takemoto met this 18 year old Hagumi Hanamoto (Riko Narumi) at the
pond and fell in love. Later on she joinds the clique. But it seems that Morita also likes Hagu-chan and Ayumi and Mayama has a problem of their own. Ayumi likes Mayama, but Mayama fell in love with Rika Harada, whom he is working for. Later on Hagumi realises she likes Morita, but Morita left for New York. After which he comes back and the last part I saw was the preview with Morita saying "I likeHagu-chan."and i have to rush for tuition
All in all all I can say is (*sniggers at own pun*) that it has a really refreshing outlook on love, which sets it apart from other typical love stories. Because it revolves around the fact of a somewhat-broken friendship because of love, it's really captivating. Love is an endless loop in Yamada-san and Mayama-san's relationship, when it's just one long line, making those people in the queue all mixed up and tired. Takemoto-kun's habit of not being able to reach out to something in front of him is starting to hit him deeply in his life and deeply break his heart because of Hagu-chan and Maorita-san; thinking that if he drifted aimlessly, he'll eventually be able to achieve something, that's why he started on a journey with his bicycle: to reach somewhere. Family love is also evident in the series, where Takemoto-kun starts to learn to accept his step-father, who also provides useful advice to Mayama-san (who is in the same boat).
That is, if my dissection is correct. (im pretty bad at lit)
technical stuff now. The acting is, AWESOME. praises for all of them, although Riko-san isn't able to capture Hagu-chan's childlike-ness quite well, but then again, how easy is it for an adult to act like a kid who's actually mature? can you even understand what i said in the last sentence? no? then Riko-san has put in great effort into portraying Hagu-chan, lets applause! Toma-san's portrayal of Takemoto-kun is really uber good. shojo genre aside, all his actions and talking were realistic, even in the hardest section of OTT in anime/manga. He succeeded that, making the scene blend in nicely with others. His emotional scenes were also very believable. It's not too much brawling, but just the right amount of frowning for us to feel the pain and happiness of Takemoto-kun. But when it comes to emo scenes he cannot beat my favourite Osamu Mukai-san's Mayama-san!!! :D
there's this hospital scene where Mayama asks, "Tell me how to be a person's sole reliance." OMG you should have SEEN it when he cries!! His face is so squashed up and quivering my heart goes out to him. Goes out to him I say, goes out to him!!!!
Its OSTs were kinda obvious (but then again im a person who listens to OSTs, weirdddd) but the magic is that it is so mild and gentle it's not distracting and yet able to inject the atmosphere of the scene. BEAUTIFUL.
and because it's 47 minutes past what is supposed to be tomorrow and i should be in bed by now, i shall end this rev with

and just for your (ok, mine) viewing pleasure, Osamu Mukai-san is the guy with the specs with the kanji charas of zhen shan qiao. That guy with the uber thick specs la.
and for some more eye candy, my research has proved that Toma-san is in the end the one who won the popularity war. girls everywhere loves Toma-san. to satisfy thy cravings:

nothing pleases me more than drawing my manga, watching my Anime and reading my Mangas. :)

Indirectly yes, but technically no. (money can't buy me Kubo-sensei and him *wails*)
5. If you can have one dream to come true, what would it be?
We ordinary people can travel to the world of Anime.
6. Do you believe you can survive without money?
I think I can survive anything because it has been tested and proven that to save myself in dire situations I have the amazing ability to come up with abstract ideas to save myself. (such as when almost chased by a dog, considering whether or not to drop the can)
7. What's the most regretful thing that you've done before?
Downloading that stupid software that half-murdered my computer and landed her in the state she is in right now. (poor HP w1907)
8. If you win $1 million, what would you do?
Run to comics connection, buy ALL the manga, run to Gramophone, buy ALL the Animes, take a trip to Japan, buy EVERYTHING in the Shonen JUMP! Shop. hopefluly my money runs out by then and have no choice but to stay in Japan.
9. What is the most embarrassing thing that happened to you recently?

ok nevermind forget about the last two posts people!!
still emo-ing, yeah, BUT, today's tuition party made everything better. :D(aside from the fact that i forget about my problems after i sleep)
to punish the guys who evilly made fun of our names on the piece of paper being passed around for our contacts, Pei Min, Nat and I decided to punish the evil doers for the sake of justice and in the name of sexism.
so we scouted around ps and bought:
one bottle of ice lemon tea
two bottles of sparkling water
one bottle of ginseng
and here's the best part:
one cup of wasabi
halfway we realized there was no straw, so Carolyn, Sherlyn and me went to the "toilet" (mcdonalds) and took straws. the teacher was informed of our plan long ago, and she seemed pretty supposrtive of it.
before that the teacher made selected students say a speech in front of the class. it was zhen qiang's turn.

"Let me ask you a question. What is your ideal teacher? You."
"Somebody who is kind, caring, and cares deeply about the student's welfare, not just his/her results"
"THAT, is ME."
OMG it was freak! all of us burst out laughing!! this is unbelievable!! anyway yeah.
so today in tuition we dumped everything in and stir and stir and stir and passed on to the guys. of course they suspected right away and whined and complained but in the end they still finished it. (except for two guys: YOU'RE NOT A MAN!)
i took a sip of it. MAN! it tasted perfectly like how a good ice lemon tea should, but OH the dry bitterness of the ginseng hidden amongst the fluid jumps out from its ambush and OH MAN the fiery explosion of the wasabi rushed right down my throat and i SWORE i breathed FIRE out from my nostrils. my face squished into a corner. i heard those guys started laughing at me then i quickly covered my face because i'd look like a wrinkled up monkey banana in front of him. in the end i think i ended up in a weird pose like a monkey statue from billions of years ago which was hit by an impending ice storm.
anyway. then we pulled one guy call Marc and another Alloysious (that is one name i can never spell in my entire life) out to sing songs. they played JJ's Mu Nai Yi
The intro music ended. Marc was like, "SHHHHH!!!" then he started singing. his part ended then we all cheered. (fyi he is a pretty good singer) we all suaned Aloysious (STOP LAUGHING AT MY SPELLING EVIL MEANIES) for not singing. he must at least dance right?
know what he did?
he lipsynched!! :D
then we all call him to catwalk, he really did!! he strolled down the aisle and waved while lipsynching and omg it was freaking funny can. i took a vid of it, but being the nice person i am, i shall not upload it without their permission. ^^?
then Marc was singing the next song and once again we all persuaded with much overwhelming emotions for Alloysious (I SAID STOP LAUGHING!) to dance.
then we somehow managed to bring out all sorts of ideas, big and small, fat and skinny, square and round, orang utans and singapore for him. Then Leon was like "Strip!"
then somehow he too, managed to come up with the 101 ways of stripping (i wonder where did he get those ideas from). Allysious stared at him and said calmly
"ni ZHUAN dao ah!"
*translation: it's to your advantage!!*
omg the entire class BURST out laughing for like, at least 3 breaths can. and then it all ended. the next class had to come in for lessons and it was all over.
5 days of fun.
but it was great memories :)

What exactly are you? Ever since that day I saw you you've been leaving your trail all over my mind. When I sit, when I stand, even when I sleep I dream of you.
I think I'm getting serious.
I don't want that.
But you're not someone fated to be with me. Our personalities can't hold on for long. Why did I even chose you from the start?

and Kubo Tite will make an appearance and the comics con in San Diego on June 25 and 26!!! If im not wrong he will give the opening speech at the FIRST screening of Memories of Nobody in San Diego. Then he will go to the Shonen Jump panel and hold autograph sessions for the first 100 people!!!!! KYAAA!!!!
also, BLEACH's character designer, who also designed for many Anime like Flame of Recca (yes Kirstene, Flame of Recca) will be present at New York's screening with a large Kon!!

i am just staring at this blank screen trying to drive my scroller crazy by scrolling the screen up and down up and down and still dont know what to fill up this space with. (thats why i hate fill in the blanks.) yay. another in-your-face what-i-did-today post :D
last friday. i got a fever, highest temperature 38.1 degrees (my proudest moment was 40.1 degrees. wuahahaha) then i used that excuse to skip my homework and play the com. sadly, or miraculously, i recovered while watching NHK and Gintama. THE POWER OF ANIME!!
saturday. nothing much. went vivo with my cousins and realize my earphones left me and went up there *looks up* first (why?? why do you leave me alone? didnt you say we'll go together?? I HATE YOU!!) which leaves me no other choice but to blast my music. (oh i deeply apologise for the ruckus. *shakes head in shame*)
sunday. guess what day is it~! went to ps with megan and watched Narnia, mainly Skandar Keynes, but Narnia, but mostly Skandar Keynes. and finally bought the Fullmetal dvds i want. then kirstene dealt a blow to me in the mrt saying that the Indiana Jones movie has no ticket for me. then i splurged on the 72% choc and zing called to say it was all a mistake. i thought i have taught kirstene better than that... *sobs* (but i dont blame you kirstene! so dont blame yourself! except for the part where you put my picture there. BAAAAD kirstene) laughed so much i lost my voice and became sexy, talking so much to be sexy. IM A SEXEH WOMAN!! zing's car fetched me home and on the way home... hehheh. i'll just say i like children. (NO IT WAS NOT A HANDSOME CHILD I SAW.)
monday. today. went tuition and saw my cancer-stricken teacher who came back from the army. jaws almost fell off, but ok la, still not as bad as zing's trying-not-to-laugh face. lunched with Peimin and Nat. that stupid feast of fury costs me my allowance. but its kinda nice. (mcs you better pay me for this!) then went jiang and went home. struggled the entire day with my tys and still not done. AHHHHH
fyi megan's over in bangkok now so if you call her and she doesnt pick up, try the bangkok extension.

Humans. For 2 milleniums and the many milleniums before when people were very hairy and full of hair, tromped around the jungle poking their spear into what they believed was walking barbeque, they have been trying to again and again prove to the world that THEY are the MASTERS.
My precious students, today's lecture is not going to be about global warming, we'll leave that to Prof. Po Lah Bare. Today, we're going to discuss the fine art of multi-tasking.
I understand, that I am not capable ofbeing longwinded elaborating on the different prospect of life like my friend Prof. Kir. S. Tene can, but I can at the very least, make a list, a list, I call "A history of multi-tasking tasks performed by A man (duh)."
1.Pat my head and rub my tummy (2 things done)
2.Eat and watch TV, occasionally yelling at my supervisor.(3 things done)
3.Walk around and listen to music, sometimes yelling at my supervisor on her choice of clothes. (3 things done)
4.Chewing and moving my jaws, and respire, also blinking my eyes and having my blood circulated by pumping my heart, and digesting and absorbing nutrients at the same time. (8 things done) [WOAAHHH!!!]
5.arguing with my supervisor and talking to my friends on the phone. (2 things done)
6.brush my teeth, wash my hair, sing song. (3 things done)
7.change on my clothes while talking on the phone (2 things done)
8.do my homework and listen to my physics tutor speak ghost stories/talk about random stuff (2 things done)
9.snore, dream, rest and sleep at the same time (4 things done)
10. kick the computer, get angry, curse, yell at the supervisor, listen to music (5 things done)
You students must be curious about the purpose behind such list. I shall announce to you.
It's becausei want to get rid of that emo post below boast about my historic achievements i want you to understand the art of being able to multitask. it is an important skill you'll have to acquire in your life. You have to learn how to drink with your client, suck up to him/her, promote your company thingy, not get drunk, play cards, attempt to win the game and at the same time trying your very best not to let your true opinions about the client run out when you lose the game.
So. I hope you have all learnt a precious lesson in multitasking and put that to good use in the future. (by the way, students, if you're again wondering why (clever students asks a lot of questions they say) I gehgeh act smart, it's because of the music i'm hearing. it's as if its from some himalayan mountain and make me want to meditate and meditate and meditate...I SEE THE LIGHT!!)
